Georgia Supreme Court Equality Commission Publishes Registry of Foreign Language Interpreters

The Georgia Supreme Court Equality Commission recently published a "Registry of Foreign Language Interpreters." The Registry is sorted into four indices: by interpreter name, by county, by language, and by company name. The full Registry is available from the Administrative Office of the Courts, 244 Washington Street, S.W., Suite 550, Atlanta, Georgia 30334-5900; (404) 656-5171/Fax: (404) 651-6449. Prior to hiring an interpreter, the Administrative Office of the Courts urges attorneys to contact the Office and receive detailed information about the specific qualifications of each interpreter, as the qualifications and experience vary greatly among the individuals listed in the Registry.
